Default Started Problems???...Please Help!!

The truck was running great, no problems at all...I disconnected the battery and un-botled the starer solenoid from the fender, to take off the fender...Today I tried to start it and NOTHING!!!...The interior lights come on and the radio comes on and I can hear the fuel pump kick on, but it will not turn over at all, it does nothing!!!....Does the solenoid have to be grounded back to the fender??... I just have it hanging, but it is still connected....

Solenoid uses mounting bolts as ground so yes it must be mounted or grounded in some other way.

Did it start? My truck will do this and I have to hit the key fob unlock button, then it starts.

I did the screwdriver jump and it fired right up...So, I'm assuming it has to be grounded for it to work...
