start up problem

Default start up problem

i have a 96 302. when i start it...it stumbles like its gonna die for about 4 seconds then runs fine. any ideas??

It's 15 years old so it could be anything. Based on your one line question I would make sure you have good gas, change the fuel filer, and run a bottle of concentrated fuel injector cleaner thru it. Could be clogged/leaky injectors. On a cold start try turning on the key 2 or three times to pump up the fuel rail then try to start it. If that helps then your fuel system is leaking off somewhere.

i have put new fuel filter,plugs and run injection cleaner thru it every month. And as im in idle it will die down alittle every other min. i drive the truck everyday
