stalling in reverse
Lost the link, but here's what I've heard. If that's an E4OD, then the filter probably fell into the pan. Reading up on a Tranny flush how to on FullSizeBronco.com (forum) it was covered. The OEM clip that holds the tranny filter over time can become loose and the filter will fall into the pan. When this happens, the truck will stall/threaten to stall when shifted to reverse. You can buy a new clip for like 5 dollars, improved design, with 2 bolt holes, instead of just being held in by one. I'll look for the link for ya

Thats something that won't show on a error code scan, but a good possibility. So's a bad TPS. You have to start somewhere. I'd save dropping the T-pan for last, unless it's due for servicing anyway. If so. Run some Transtune in the tranny before, to de-sludge.
