stalling at idle

stalling at idle

Hey all my 93 f150 302 automatic is stalling whenever my foot isn't on the gas keeping the idle up. Any idea what's going on?

Clean your IAC,its on the right hand side of the throttle body. Take off the plastic cover on top and you'll be able to get to it easier. Just 2 screws and it comes off,clean it out w. some carb clean and a rag.

After cleaning the valve make sure the solenoid its working rigth too.

Idle air control valve. It allows air to go around the throttle body when the butterfly is closed. When it malfunctions it wont let air by for the engine to idle on.
