Default Squealing alternator!?

K, changed out my serpentine belt recently. It was in pretty bad shape. Then instantly my alternator pulley starts a nasty squeal. I know that's it because as soon as I give a small shot of lube into it, it stops squealing for a few minutes. Is it just the new, tighter tension from a new belt causing this? Is the pulley getting ready to puke? If so, I guess I'll go ahead and replace the alternator. Only a couple 20s more anyway, with a new pulley on it... Just worried it's gonna puke on me is all...

Bearing in the alternator is going. It's time.

Alternator replaced. Old one was definitely going out, plus the pulley had a pretty good dent in the belt guide. Wasn't too dramatic at all. There was still a little belt squeal, but I put a dab of some antiseize on both sides of the belt and it's quite now.
