Squeak fixed!!! But...
After lots of reading and 2-3 mechanics, my first attempt on my 1995 f150 2wd, was successful. Issue was a loud squeak (front driver side) when I turned either way. It was the transmission crossmember. Truck parked in driveway (slight slant front end being higher), I loosened the bottom single 10.9 grade metric bolt slowly to about 1/8th inch open, cleaned out a lot of crud, wd40, and cinched back down nearly as hard as I could as I do not have a torque wrench. Noise completely gone! I inspected for any shifting of anything or bends, and nothing. Even counted threads exposed compared to other one even though I know that almost means nothing. Feel good about it but I know there are a lot of things that I could be chewed out for, ie the uneven place of work, not torqueing to spec, not aleviating the block and tranny weight for a complete crossmember removal for proper bolt securing sequence. Anybody have thoughts on this? Oh and while driving there are no new vibrations of any sorts. Thanks for any help!
