Sputter and stall
Guys I have a 93 bronco..(I know f150 forum) today it decided to sputter at idle and then stall after driving for 30-45 min. then later after driving for 20-30 min it sputtered again but I noticed it and reved it up and it didn't act up afterwards.
On a side note this morning I backed outta my drive way and put it in drive and got nothing. Put in neutral hit the gas went back to d still nothing dropped it to 1st and drove off later no problems with d.
1993/302/automatic (idk what tranny is in it)

Not sure about the idle problem, I had a 94' FSB with the 351W and E4OD tranny. My tranny did the same thing and it was the Manual Lever Positioning Sensor on the driver side of the trans housing. Ford fixed the problem in '95, you have to get it from the dealership, cost me around $100 back in '05. Now, the '95 sensor has an oval connector, yours has a rectangular connector, so you will need a small (precision sized) flathead screwdriver and you will have to repin the connector. It's not too bad, takes about 10 min and patience. And do it one pin at a time so you wont get it all mixed up.
Does anyone know about the idling problem I am having... Today I got out to hookup A trailer and the thing just shut off. I got in to crank it and it wouldn't run after about 20 seconds of turning over it fired up and immediately stalled... After that it hesitated again fired up and didn't act up no more. Weird huh.
Also my temp Gauge dosent work/no t-stat (haven't checked it yet). So I don't know if it maybe ran hot I just ran to the store 2.2 miles one way and back my other truck is usually warmed up by then.
