Default Springs

A while back I bought a 2 inch leveling kit for my 96 f150. It was the spacer that went underneath the spring. after installing it, it threw my allignment way off. i bought a pair of moog adjustable camber bushings which were 0-3 degrees. I tried everything and couldnt get it to work. Im looking to level the truck and also looking to get that "bulldog" look but im mainly worried about my front end droop. I'm wondering if I get taller springs if it will throw my alignment off as bad as the leveling kit did. I found these http://www.my4by.com/4-inch-front-su...n&currency=USD which seems like a reasonable price. tell me what you think. thanks!

Those springs are 4 inch lift springs. That is another 2 inches on top of what the spacers give you now. Any lift, whether a spacer or spring, will mess up your alignment the exact same. For 2 inches you shouldn't need the adjustable camber bushings, although they are nice to have, a set of non-adjustable camber bushing extenders will do just fine. The 4 inches of lift those springs will give you will cause you more problems then they are worth, unless you really need 4 inches of lift. You would need new camber adjustments, steering linkage adjustments, and a whole bunch of other "new" parts. The 2 inch spacers and a set of 2 inch lift springs will do the exact same thing, just in different ways. If you can't align the spacers, lift springs won't help. There are a ton of other threads on here about your exact issue. Just use the forum search function.

I had the 2 inch spacers on but removed them because I had terrible positive camber and it was wiping out my tires. what are the non adjustable camber bushings extenders? are they just like the factory ones just a different degree? And if I get a new pair of 2 inch taller springs and I use the 2 inch spacer with that, wouldnt I have to do the same as with the 4 inch springs (steering linkage camber bushings etc.) ?

Yes, it would. To us, it sounds like you're just trying to level (2 inches), and he is saying springs and spacers of the same height will cause the same problems.

Yes the non adjustable camber bushings are just like factory for a different degree. But the adjustable ones work just fine, if not better. And yes I was thinking you are trying to level it with just 2 inches (typically 2 inches will be plenty to level our trucks if they are stock.) But if you are trying to give it 4 inches of lift then you will need bigger adjustable camber bushings than the ones you already have plus all of the extra stuff I mentioned above. And remember if you have the TTB front axle they don't like being lifted more than 3 inches. You can get them higher, but it will take a lot more time and effort to align the wheels and get everything to work right. Plus, the springs you posted are built to work with a Rancho lift kit to give you those 4 inches, they are not just a bolt on lift spring. No matter what lift style you have (spacers or lift coils) the alignment will be screwed up equally.

well it looks like I will just have to go with something like this http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-...eling-kit.html and call it a day.
