Default Springs

So I just picked me up a set of Moog cc844's today. Question... Anyone who has these or knows about them... Do the REALLY look progressive? I'm no spring expert but there doesn't seem to be ALOT of difference between the coils in the spring. Is it pretty subtle or would it really stand out? Just want to make sure that what was in the right box is the right part.

A lot of difference between the coils? Like one end versus the other, on a variable spring rate coil? I suppose a picture couldn't hurt, they should be pretty obviously varied in spacing...

I had them bring over another set from the warehouse...sealed box, same springs. The cc844 coils have one or two turns that are closer together....maybe on something more light duty there are more turns close together? I dunno... They are the right ones and getting installed tomorrow! Don't know why I didn't do this sooner.

they are actually F250 springs, so the spring rate is much higher, almost double I believe. a lot of people do this to level out their truck, it brings the front end up about 2" to be level with the back. I JUST got done putting those on, dont know why I didnt do it until now. 1994 4x4, owned since new, almost 257,000 miles, and just now leveling it out. LOL
I HIGHLY recommend it though, turned out great! and the ride, so far, cant tell much different than before except there is literally no body roll. on a gravel road, I can just pinch it side to side...might have to much fun with that. I may put an extra leaf on the back...just for kicks. I dunno. I have to get the alignment done though, lifting the front threw off the camber pretty bad. The place that I am going to have do the alignment, in Des Moines.... Merrill Axle... they will also make you leaf springs if you want. Pretty much anything you want, they can do. If you want an alignment, THATS the place to go. They do it right!
ok, thats my advertising plug.. anyway... VERY happy with the springs and how it turned out. No more questions, just go DO IT!! You will be glad you did! Not difficult to do at all. If you are mechanical, and have the tools, anyone can do this in a morning or afternoon. For $100... (you can find them for less if you order them online) best money I have spent in a long while on a vehicle!

Damn maybe I should swap my fronts out soon. Currently I have the stock coils and a poly biscuit underneath them, but I have F250 coils sitting in the garage waiting to lift it on top of that. No body roll eh?

Let me know how it goes with the spacer and the 250 coils. Could you take some before and after pics?

definitely, but it will be a while before I can afford all the bits and pieces required. Rear U bolts, front shocks, alignment, and probably radius arm drop brackets. so a couple hundred or so. then a weekend to install it all.

That's what my truck has. I don't know if it will align to specs even with camber bushings though
