Exclamation Speedo Recalibration Problem

Im trying to recalibrate the speedo in my 94'. I have grounded the DPME terminal. I get the speedo to sweep like it is supposed to, I can push the "Reset" button again and it is on "E" for english and I have all 6 reset's left. It is still set on the factory (9.72) conversion constant. When I push the "Select" button, the conversion constant number will not change or set. Anyone had this same problem? Thanks

I would try to ground it elsewhere. Cant say i had this problem in the past.

As for the lightning cluster, u cant reset the milage. Its built into the PSOM in the MPH section of the cluster.

I'm almost sure u can reset. I've read about but I still can't figure out how to do it. I think I'm taking it 2 the dealer. They should be able to.

I tried grounding it to the door hinge, then I moved my alligator clips to the truck body ground wire on the frame thats under the passenger door. Same problem. Everything goes by the book until I try to change the conversion constant number. Im about to call a guy I know that worked at a ford dealership forever. I havent called the dealer yet to see how much they will charge to re-calibrate the speedo.

Edit: I tried re grounding the DPME terminal wire to the base nut of the door jamb switch and the constant number flashed this time and let me change the number to the one I needed.
