Exclamation Sos

I HAVE A 2 WHL DRIVE 1987 F150 WITH A STRAIGHT SIX CYLINDER. TODAY AS I PULLED UP TO PARK I HEARD SOMETHING HISSING. AFTER I PUT IT IN PARK, I GOT OUT WHILE IT WAS STILL RUNNING TO SEE ORANGE RUST COLORED LIQUID(COOLANT MAYBE)ON THE GROUND. I SAW IT WAS SPOUTNG OUT FROM THE BACK OF THE BLOCK ABOVE THE TRANSMISSION TOWARDS THE TOP OF THE MOTOR. I WWENT IN THE STORE AND GOT STOP LEAK LIQUID WITH THE DISSOLVABLE PELLETS AND 50 50 COOLANT. ADDED THE PRODUCTS AND SAW NO MORE LEAK. HOWEVER, THE OIL PRESSURE WAS LOW. THE TRUCK STALLED NOT FAR FROM HOME AND REFUSED TO START BECAUSE IT WAS OVERHEATED. AFTER GETTING TOWED HOME, I LET IT RUN AND STILL NO LEAKS BUT LOW OIL PRESSURE. CHECKED OIL, NO WATER, CHECKED COOLANT, AND IT HAS ENOUGH. ANYONE KNOW WHAT IT MIGHT BE? FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ALSO newlevel726@yahoo.com THANKS.

Well... those "Stop Leak" products are terrible. Those "Quick desolve" pellets actually work in that they stop leaks but they also plug up vital coolant passages thru-out the motor. I would IMMEDIATELY flush the engine and get out all that you possibly can (with a REAL flush, not just draining fluids) and hope that adding that stuff didn't do any irreparible damages. Chances are though that since it overheated, its too late.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Freeze plug. That stop leak crap shouldn't be sold! Maybe an aggressive flush product will break that stuff loose. If you have any size leak & the system can't pressurize, you will overheat. Hope you don't end up S.O.L.
