spray paint on the chrome ?

maybe wet sand paper it off ?
should do the trick but not sure how serious the spray paint is on there if you have picures would be better.

take the door panel off see if you can put the handle on correctly.

Clay bar the paint off, wet sanding it will ruin the chrome. And you will have to remove the door panel to see whats going on with the door handle, super glue or auto goop is only a temporary fix.
