just found a dana 44 from a 79 f150 on ebay, its pretty much complete, $360 and its like 40 mins from me, im just kinda drooling right now thinking about the possibilities, sadly it won't happen,

i know what your talking about, i found an ad on craigslist a guy had a whole garage full of 73-79 parts including 4 front axles and 3 NP205 transfer cases, makes ya wish you had the time and money doesnt it?

I thought about doing an SAS, but if I did I'd have to go with a D60, which would require a new rear end and new tires. Might as well do it right if you're gonna do it..... Maybe one of these days I'll find a cheap wrecked 1 ton with 40's already on it

haha yeah i'm gonna be trying to do the sas here soon but my problem is i'd be going with a D60 and i'm gonna have to do gears and if i do gears while i got it open i might as well do lockers and i'm gonna have to do the same for the rear. quite a few grand
