solid axle conversion??
ok so i did the 6 in lift this weekend and wow i like it now time for the 35s but i hate one thing: when u back up the tires lean and point into each other. big problem with i beam front ends so my next step is a soild axle front end.
does anyone know how to do this and maybe what parts do i need?
maybe someone made a step by step on this????
i would like to keep the coil springs but what is all needed to do this swap???

I believe that the axle from a late 70 to 80 will fit under these without many modifications, you will want to keep the arms and all the mounts for the axle. This would be similar to changing out the bushing on the front end. The older F-150 used a coil spring with a solid dana 44 front axle. If the pumpkin is on the wrong side switch transfers along with the axle.
u will need a dana 44 ford a f150 in the 70 years 77-79 work best becuase the are disk brake. i can us ur drop done raduies arm bracket but will have to move them back 10 pluse ichs becuase the old soild axle has longer raduies arms. u will have to make a trac bar bracket. u will need weilding skillz if u done have some one do it because u want it beefy and not to brake. if it brakes going done the road ur axle will probly pull it self out from under the truck and u dont want that. u will also need new coils and coil buckets. and mess with the brake system to get it to work
