Default So confused

Alright guys, I know I've asked this before but I can not figure this out, figured I'd ask since I have them disconnected from the truck. I went and bout these license plate light housings cause mine are busted, I want to replace the bulbs with LED's but I cannot get these open. I've tried twisting counter clockwise, tugged on it in every which way and cannot get it open. If anyone could tell me how to do it that'd be a miracle! Thanks guys

I remember you asking and I assumed that you had the factory units when I replied to just twist and remove. I believe as posted above, those are sealed units unlike the factory units. Sorry for the bad info. Your '92 should have these................ if it's got a stock rear bumper that is.............

Peterson makes an LED version of that light. In fact, it looks like peterson might be the only one making the snap in light now. Good luck.

I actually got them open 5 minutes after I posted this. All that trouble and I just had to wedge a flathead at the meeting point of the housing and the rest of the assembly. All that work to find out the LED's don't fit
