Default Smog pump

I am trying to take the smog pump off a 1991 ford f-150 with a 300 inline and i was wondering how to go through with that because i dont know wat all needs to be done to make the truck run "normal". I read on a post that you need to get a EGR eliminator...I was just wondering if anyone can help me

Default Smog Pump

Talked to near by mechanic and he said that all i have to do is remove smog pump then get a smaller serpentine belt and cap all the vaccum lines that went to the smog pump. he said it would run pretty "normal"

Ya since im putting a better engine in the truck, than the one that was in it, I decided to remove the stuff that cludders up the engine area. Half of the smog related stuff was already rusted out. Then they have the hose that comes from the smog pump then to the cat that was broken off. So wat the hell ill rip all the other emmisions stuff off while im at it.
