Unhappy Slipping and Jerking E40D!

Hey guys, I have a 94 Ford F150 4x4 with the E40D tranny, 89k miles on it. It had sat for years without an owner when I bought it and I had no issues upon purchase. However, transmission slipping has become an intermittent issue lately and on bad days it wont shift smoothly into ANY gear. I replaced the Neutral Safety Switch, and I also replaced the transmission fluid/fluid filter recently. No help that was. I do have a small fluid leak coming from I think the torque converter seal and my Throttle Position Sensor is bad and scheduled to be replaced. Should I replace the converter seal and the TPS, will this fix my problem? Or is there something else going bad? Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes, got two different codes that my uncle got when he was checking it out. One was for the TPS, the other for excessive converter slippage. I wouldn't think the TPS would affect the transmission that much but i'm no expert by any means...that's why I'm here lol
