Default Slippery shifting when cold

1994 f150, 4.9L, automatic
When cold, truck transmission seems to slip when shifting - I think from low to second gear. If I give it the gas in this situation, engine speeds up but transmission appears to slip so I get no speed increase. I've had the fluid and filter changed and transmission shifts fine when it warms up so am wondering if there is a fix for this cold-engine situation. Thanks.

In my opinion, you may need to step up the quality of fluid. My truck doesn't like supertech or stuff on that level. I stepped up to Maxlife ATF and all my shifting issues went away.
