Default Should I trade?

I have had my 87 F150, 4x2, 5.0, AOD up for sale on craigslist. Currently it does not run as the engine and transmission are out of it and the engine is in pieces. It is however a nice looking truck. Aftermarket wheels, aftermarket radio, good tires, brakes and battery. 135k miles. Very little rust, and in fact the floorboards are solid. Several new parts, including a fresh tune up and control module as well as a few other things.

Heres whats going on. A guy wants to trade me a RUNNING and DRIVING 1990 Bronco 4x4 with only 44k original miles on it. However, it had a rough body and he did the body work on it to make it look OK again, (plenty of bondo it looks like, no metal replacement) but he is painting it with spray cans so it probably wont be great. It does look good in pictures tho. As long as it runs and drives ok and has the title which he says it does, it should be an OK trade. My truck looks better but is older, 4x2 and doesnt run. His is newer, less miles, 4x4 and runs.

If all is exactly as said, would you trade or no?

I REALLY want this Bronco... but I am getting mixed opinions on other sites about what to do. More Yes's than No's however. But I am being told if it was very rusty on the outside that it could be very rusty underneath and that it wouldn't be a good idea to trade. Plus this truck does indeed have bondo in it. Mine, to my knowledge, does not.

What would this bronco be worth, roughly, if i were to trade for it and then sell it? I think it would be easier to sell than my F-150 would be seeing as my truck doesn't run, and since someone has an interest in it, it might be for the best to get rid of it and get something that runs.

Its been painted with cheap paint from a spray can. Thats what bothers me about the bronco. I think it will be ok tho. I can either sell it again or have it blasted and repainted.

Look at it this way, would you pay $300-$400 dollars for that bronco? Cause that's what your trucks worth.

Yea the bronco is probably worth that much. However if my truck was running, and i could have it going again soon, it should be worth $1,500. Thats what I am looking at. If the Bronco is worth $1,500 as it is then id go ahead and trade for sure.

Personally I wouldn't , but if you need somthing to drive.
See if you can get him to trade the bronco for your truck minus wheels and tires, you keep yours, he keeps his. Keep in mind the mechanic work done on it might be of the same quality as the body work.
