when looking at headers, should i go with the shortys or full length ones? also when i go to run the true duals out, what size pipe is recommended with no mufflers and no cats? how about with cat? thank you, oh ya its a 5.8L 351W reg cab long bed, i already have a 2.25" pipe straight piped but want to do duals with headers.

Long tube, definitely, the standard size is 1 5\8, that should be fine, flowtech terminator mufflers, and cats depends on your local emission laws.

Flowtech or headman, headman will last a bit longer, they make headers that fit both auto\man transes and 4x4. If you want to spend a little more and have them last, get the jet hot coated headers.

It also depends where your o2 sensors are, if you have one in front of the cat you can remove the cats, they make collectors with a bung welded in it, if you have one up and one down, I read where there is a way to trick the down o2 sensor or just put the cats on, there in no real diff in performance with or without good cats.
