shifting issues
im not new to the forum, but unfortunately the email i used is no longer available and i dont remember the password. haha
so now, the question. i have an 89 f150, 2wd, 5.0 AOD tranny. and the transmission wants to shift at high rpms, my other f150, (same truck) shifts at a lower rpm. also to get it into OD i have to let up off the gas, unless im going about 65 and rpms are 3000 and it shifts itself no problem. all shifts are smooth and no sounds. i was told there is a TV/kickdown cable or something similar that i need to adjust to get the transmission to shift at a lower gear. i just replaced the fluid and filter and the tranny is doing better than before (smoother) but the same with the rpms.
