Default Shaking and vibrations

On my 89 f-150 4x4 with a 5spd a vibration/shaking has occured. I originally thought it was in the front end. So I took it to the shop where I got the tires mounted and balanced to have them do a free rotation and balance. Well it didnt help. It still shakes. It seems to do it the worst at 45mph. I checked the the ball joints and steering is good. (did not get a chance to check each tie rod end though) But I did notice one of my shocks (I have quad shocks) is bent back in the middle of it.

I am thinking of replacing the shocks but thats a hundred dollars that I could just be throwing away. I recently replaced a u joint in the driveshaft but that was 6XXX miles ago and the shaking just started.

Any ideas? Thanks guys

If you have a bent shock it needs replaced regardless, I don't think that would cause shaking though, unless it was a bad road.

Yeah I planned on it this weekend. It almost feels like a bounce though. I was going to jack up the rear end and run it and see if it does it then cause then I know its coming from the rear end.
