Default Semperit Tires

On my 96 XLT I need to redo the ball joints on my passenger side front. I already ordered the parts, just haven't had time to do it. Up here in New Hampshire with cold weather moving in fast I'm resigned to the fact that I'll probably just end up doing it in the spring. Truck is safe and drives fine, just causes one tire to wear very unevenly. The three other tires wear normally. I've been rotating them through and putting the unevenly worn tires in the back, but that won't get me through the snow. I'm thinking of getting two cheap tires in decent condition to throw on the back and get me through the winter. Then in the spring take care of the ball joints and get four new tires. What I have for my back two tires now is pretty bad and I need to replace them ASAP, but don't want to spend a bundle since I'm planning on buying a new set of 4 in the spring once everything is taken care of so that they'll wear evenly.

My question is this, Has anyone used or know anything about Semperit brand tires? I found two used semperit tires in my truck's size for sale. They're a matching set and according to the seven pictures posted in the Craigslist ad they have a lot of tread left and appear to be evenly worn. They're definitely in good enough condition to get me a few months until I get new tires. White walls, which I think are hideous, but I can have them mounted inwards. Any idea who makes them, what level of quality are they, any information is appreciated because I've never heard of the brand. I Googled them enough to determine their not Chinese crap, but I just really need more information. Is it worth my time to go look at them in person? They're priced at $25 per tire. At this point I'm kind of against considering a brand I've never heard of. I just don't know

check the age of the tires when you get a chance. dry rot may be an issue.

I would find a way to fix the joint before winter. But that is me.
