Default Seals

Went to go work on the back brakes because of the parking brake peddle went to the floor. All that was needed for now was the cable needed to be adjusted. Notice the seals were leaking so I dug in to it. It turn out to be a easier job than I thought it would be. One bolt did brake on the pumpkin shell but there is alway more than one cuz word on any project. Seems like the C washers came out and put in too easy. I guess I`ll find out the first 50 miles or so.

Good thing the shaft lock bolt came out easy for you.

Well that was sort of a bear to get out. I used a cuss word on that one too. When I picked up the seals I picked another shaft bolt up to. I rounded it just a little getting it out.It had a little lock seal on it also. Hope I got it tight enough. I didn`t want to snap it or get it to tight.

Lol I know what thats like. For something thats only held 15-30 ft/lbs sure is a pain to get out. Always keep a set of easy outs in my tools box at work for those kind of jobs, about 50% of the time they break off or are already broken in the bottom of the diff.
