Default First post had to tell somone

So had same issue on my 96 4.9 I had done every thing ignition air and fuel related
Plugs wires distributor vacuum lines sea foam treatment fuel/air filter list goes on... and still same issue had been dealing with it for years

I finally checked fuel pressure it was 30 psi (supposed to be 50+) witch was allowing vapor lock
So I got a new fuel pump on eBay and it looks like it's finally done with the idle issue

I have a 5.0 F150 and I have kind of the same issue. After i drive it for a bit and shut it off and go back to drive it again (within like 30 minutes) it takes a little longer to start than what it did when i first turned it on. yesterday was pretty hot in MN and i stopped at a friends and i went to start it up after i let it sit for like 10 minutes and it took forever to start and the temp gauge climbed while it was cranking. i have never experienced this before and i just thought it was weird.

Does anybody know why it did this???

Could be similar fuel pressure issue. I have read that v8s dont need as much pressure but look up what your fuel pressure should be and check it having good fuel pressure prevent vapor lock in your fuel rail without the right pressure
