Default rough idle fix

i keep reading that people just clean the idle control valve on their trucks to fix a rough idle.. but isn't there a gasket on there that you would need to replace if you unbolt it?

if the gasket is in good condition it should still be good.

but before pulling it off, you might try pulling your intake tube off and spraying some carb cleaner into the AIC ports in the TB. see if that does it.

also, try unplugging it while the truck is idling. if there is no change in idle, the thing is not working at all. it should die or struggle to keep running.
