Default Reverse Lights Aren't Working, But Everything Else Is

Hey guys, I was hoping someone would be able to lead me into the right direction, I have a 93, F-150, my reverse lights dont work, ive changed the bulbs, connections look good, it is a 5 speed manual, is there something that is in the trans or near the trans that make the reverse bulbs kick in? Everything else works, tails, brake lights etc. Checked the fuses as well

The switch went ka-put. It should be on your transmission. Check that it's not unplugged, fried, or covered in oil. Check the connections on the connector and switch.

Hey thanks a lot! What does the switch look like? are you able to replace the switch? Does any autopart store carry them or are they a dealer part?

I don't know what they look like on these trucks, but I do know that they are usually on the tail housing of the transmission or on the rear end of the transmission case. Since you have a 5spd manual, you could safely assume that the switch will be the only electrical component on your transmission, follow the wires! You can usually find them at auto parts stores too, but who knows.. call one and ask for a reverse switch.
