Default Resetting the IAC?

I tried searching for what I need to no avail. I know its on here but I can't find it. I adjusted my timing the other day and now my idle is rough at startup. It just lobes up and down and makes it hesitate when I'm driving for about the first block or so, then it goes away. I think the IAC needs to be cleaned and reset. I disconnected the battery, but I know there's also a relearn procedure for the IAC. Does anyone have it?

Also, what's the best cleaner to use on the IAC? I have an electronic parts cleaner I can use, or would carb cleaner be ok to use on it?

Thanks!

i'm not aware of any relearn procedure, just the dissconecting of the battery, and i would use the electronics cleaner on it. if anything, but honestly if i remember right when i bought a new one it was only around 20 bucks that would be the better route

Autozone is the cheapest I found and it was 55 dollars. I'd rather try and clean mine. It seems to be working at least a little, because after the truck runs for a bit, the idle runs steady at 750 rpm like it should. If cleaning it doesn't work I may have to buy another.

I bought one on rockauto.com for $21, late last year. I see they have one for my truck, currently selling for $24.95 on up to $57.89.

Good luck!
