Default Replacing Leafs Questions?

Hey guys im replacing my rear leafs tomorrow with 3/4 ton ones. Do i have to do anything special as far as where everything sits or will it line right up?

nothing guys? i just need to know if thereis a certain way or marks to line up the leaf spring on the axle.

The center pin on the springs fit into a hole on the spring perches. Use the perch spacer off of the 150 and check the ride level you may need to go with no spacer to get the proper ride level.

dont use the 2 in spacers from the f250 cause i just did that to my truck this summer and this is how it sits. i will have to get a leveling kit for the front. its not much maybe 2-4 in higher. in back

Also check the shackle\spring\spring mount widths, make sure 250 springs will fit, and make sure the longest spring is the same length.

Did you pull off this swap?

Thinking about the same thing for my 91 150. The inline 6 has enough power for my needs, but I could really use the extra cargo capacity.

Guidelines for this? Any idea if I can just swap in 350 or 250 springs? What do I need to measure - other than leaf width - when rummaging through the junk yard?

The F250 springs will only be a bolt in if your truck is 4wd...
