Replacing Fuel Injectors
Hey y'all, I'm going to replace the fuel injectors on my 1987 F150. It has the 5.0L 302. Any tips/advice on removing or replacing the fuel rail and injectors? Any is appreciated. Thanks!

My advice is: don't replace them. In 25 years of working on these trucks & just about every other vehicle, I've NEVER found a failed injector. Not even the dozen that were stuck shut in my 2 '95 4.9L engines which are running perfectly now.
If there's some symptom you think is going to be fixed by replacing injectors, describe it in detail, and we might be able to help you diagnose it. But you need to put ALL the truck's details into your signature first, as this page explains:

It has been dead 2 years.You should put ALL your truck's details & history (as much as you know) into your signature so it shows with each post, as this page explains:

Phone apps don't always show signatures, so you may need to switch to a real browser in desktop mode on your phone, or just use a desktop/laptop computer. Put your location (nearest city) in your profile &/or signature, & upload an avatar of the truck. The more pics you post (NOT in your sig) of the truck, engine, wiring, labels, & undercarriage, the more likely we can help you. Not all its details are relevant to these issues, but you don't necessarily know which ones are relevant, so just put everything in now.Since that's not what this thread is about, you should start a new thread for your issue(s) on your truck. You only need 1 thread - there is no advantage to starting another new thread for each issue.Sure - it COULD be anything. It seems like you're guessing blindly. Take the time to LEARN how the truck works first, so you can then analyze WHY it's not working that way, and diagnose WHAT is preventing it from working right. I highly recommend getting a Haynes manual, and (eventually) reading it cover-to-cover at least once, so you know what's in it & where to find things. Follow the links on this page:

Fuel injector problems. I had a injector go bad in my 94'. It was leaking down. Replaced all of them with a low mileage set from a 93' marquis. Flow rate was a little less but ohm reading the same plus they were free.
