Replacing Entire Door

Replacing Entire Door
Has anyone replaced an entire door before? I have a 91 and id like to replace the doors. it has power windows and locks and the locks don't work. Id like to swap in doors with manual windows/locks. Thoughts/suggestions?

Just unplug the wiring, save it just in case you ever want to go back, unbolt the hinges. This would be a good time to replace the pins and bushings, bolt the new door back on. You can also just pop the pins and keep the hinges original to the door, if it has them.
Very easy, you just need a second person to help as it is awkward to do yourself but not impossible.

If it interests you you can look for 95-96 doors as they have another little body line towards the bottom of the door, its function is to route water away from the rocker panel/door sill. I just like the look of it. Now would also be a good time to switch mirrors if you like another style better.

80 to 96 is the same basic door. 92 up got different mirror mounts. Some 94's and the 95 and 96 got the extra littlle body line at the bottom.
The best way to mount a door is with the fender off but that's a pain so you'll just have to fight with it a bit 'till you get everything lined up nice.
