Default Replace Shocks

Hi,
New to the forum with my extended 93 f150 4x4. 108k on the clock. First four wheel drive I've had. I need new shocks. Primary purpose of the 4 wheel drive is pulling my boat and trailer (about 3000lbs) in and out of the water, and the occasional snow in my area. No off roading for me.
Any suggestions for replacement shocks?
And, level of difficulty for diy. I'm above novice, buy barely in my repair skills, but always wanting to learn.
This is the first of what will be several questions . . .

as far as difficulty, it's one of the easier things you can do on your truck. well i guess i've only replaced the front up to this point, but i'm guessing the rear is just about as easy. for the fronts it's just the nut on the top, bolt on the bottom, and it's out.

I just replaced my front and you don't even have to take the wheel off. All I did was turn the wheel all the way to the right/left and then I took the shocks off. A problem I did face when doing that is that the bottom shock bolt holes did not line up so I had to jack up the body of the truck a little and then the bolt slid in nicely.
