Default Replace EFI with Carb?

Truck: '95 4x4 XLT 302 5-speed.

At some time in the future I'm planning on rebuilding the 302. When I do I'm thinking I will replace the EFI with a carburetor.

Reasons: 1) Cheaper than new EFI system.
2) Less parts to break.
3) I assume I can get rid of the computer (see #2).
4) This is a weekend only truck, not that worried about gas mileage.

Is my logic flawed? Comments/input welcome.

Do it. I can give you some info about doing it if you wish, I done it on my old 86 F150, got more power and mileage.
