Default repair question

is it at all possible to remove the silver/center strip in my 89' f150 tailgate? i rolled my truck into a tree when it died on a hill and i got a new tailgate that used to have the center strip but not anymore.

removal and installation ideas/answers?

thanks,
Justin

If you're talking about the piece like on the back of this truck below

If you have a factory bedliner on the other tailgate you just need to take that off and that will reveal about 10-16 torx head screw's you need to remove then the piece will come off.
Ps. I had no trouble removing the screws when i took mine off a while ago, but i do suggest some wd40 lol
