Default removing u-joints

went wheelin thursday and broke my front axle yoke and u-joint.

how do i remove the old u-joints?
how do i remove the axle with the broken yoke?

the yoke that broke is on the passenger side of the diff. not the stub coming out of the diff but the one that connects to it.

can i remove that one without taking anything else out?

i know when i did my rangers rear driveshaft u-joint the retaining clip was on the outside of the joint and when i looked at my f150 i didn't see any clips.

are they on the inside?

I would recommend buying a Haynes or Chilton's repair manual. They usually have good explanations for their repair proceedures and should be a big help to you.

the clips are on the inside of the u-joints,you also have to remove the hub, bearings & spindle to slide the axle out.
