Default Removing OD switch

Bulb burned out on my overdrive button, dont know if it is in od or not. My tach doesnt work so I cant tell, also due to the fact I cant remember if I took it out of od around town or hills.

The truck should by default turn back on in OD.

yes. when you turn the truck off, then back on, its automatically in od. you can also check by driving down the road about 55mph and hitting the button. you should feel and hear your trans go in and out of od.

might not be the bulb. A common issue for these trucks is for the wires at the end of the shift selector to rub through and lose connection. If this is the case you'll need to change the shiftter arm.

Thanks. The od does work, I can feel it going in and out, I just want the light to work. I will check the wiring. Thanks.
