It's not super hard to do you will have to drop the tranny not all the way down but enough to get the new seal in and old one out I think a shop will cost around $250 I got mine done while I got my tranny rebuilt.

Transmission needs to be removed, as well as the clutch and flywheel to get to the rear main. I like to use self tapping screws into the old seal and pull it out, then you can either use the seal installer tool, or do what I did and got a piece of PVC pipe with an end cap and cut relive cuts around it with Zip ties to match the size and tap it in. I got the idea from Googling and it looks like this one.

That or I'd call around for shop labor rates. I have to do mine soon too, but then again I got a shop and hoist at my disposal with a transmission jack.

Book an appointment for the morning and bring it then, I would have to guess at about a 4 hour job or so because its 4x4.
