ram air vs cold air intakes.
Few questions I hope some of you can fill me in on. first which is better for HP and gpm? I see there is a bid difference in price. Also can I expect 1-2 mpg and 10hp like the KN claims? Or is that stuff rated high to sell?

Ram air forces air into the engine, cold air pulls air from out side the engine compartment. Nothing will really help, what they dont tell you to get the better performance and mileage claimed you will also need a better exhaust and a chip. If you look at their dyno tests they are testing decked out vehicles. Besides Stopping, going, and going up a couple of hills will kill your 1-2 mph gain. There is no help with the crap gas we are forced to use.

I gotta get one for my ranger. I just put on a maf sensor from a crown vic its a little larger than the ranger and with the seat I could probably muster an extra 70 rear wheel hp. Maybe 100hp with a kn filter.

But seriously, did you disconnect the battery to clear the KAM after replacement of the MAF?
