Radius arm drop brackets or extended radius arms??
Hey guys so on my 95 f-150 Im putting a 4 inch lift on it this winter. I never off road with it, but I am worried about the frame cracking if I put the radius arm drop brackets on it. I heard this is a common problem.
Should I get the radius arm drop brackets or just get the extended radius arms?
Also I plan on putting either 33's or 35's on it. I heard 35's will fit since I wont be flexing or mudding it.
That being said, I heard that the tires like to point in toward each other when backing up. Is this true, if so what is a solution to this problem?
Thanks guys

I managed a 4WD shop for about four years during the late 80's-early 90's. Ford used the same TTB frontend on their half-tons during that era, and I personally have owned about 6 of these trucks/Broncos. Every one I owned, I installed the 6" Skyjacker kit with these brackets (and a 3" body lift), and always ran 38" Super Swampers. I never experienced a single issue like you're describing on any of mine, or the ones we lifted during that time.
The only time I saw an issue, was with one truck in particular, and I later found out that guy was jumping off dunes with it... LOTS of times. I finally saw pictures of it jumping, and I can assure you he was well over 6 feet off the ground, buckled the frame, fenders, doors, etc.
I'm certain you will be fine.

Okay, that makes me feel better, I was just reading stuff on the internet and people said their frames started cracking because of the drop brackets. But Im sure they are off roading, which I will never be doing.
That would also save me 600 bucks for the extended radius arms.
Also, I plan on using rough country's 4 inch lift, but the brackets from skyjacker and rough country should be identical.
Also, maybe the ppl who said their frames were cracking never re-torqued the bolts that hold the drop bracket.
