Default Quick water pump question...

I'm going to install the water pump tomorrow and wanted to verify a couple things.

-The pump the plate gasket, does it need sealant on the whole thing or just around the inlet/outlet holes?
-The plate to block gasket, same thing, all around or just around the holes?

The book doesn't really say. Mucho Gracias!

I've always done what tech said, but hand tighten first, leave it for about an hour to set up, then torque it down.
