Default Quick Exhaust Question

Would a mangled up tip have any effect on sound/power? My header, cat and muffler are in great shape. But the last exhaust hanger broke and the last 3 feet of the piping broke off at some point to leave a rusty, semi-twisted down pipe. Just wondering if I should hack it off after the muffler? It doesn't really SEEM to make a difference in air flow, but I swear I can hear a little sputtering noise when the exhaust flows at idle.

I doubt it would restrict hardly any flow but if you just cut it off after the muffler then you definitely wont have any restricted flow

^^ hahaha!! hack off that crap. the sputtering noise is the exhaust blowing by the twisted metal causing a void in the soundwave, which makes a intermittent "hiss hiss" with every full rotation of the engine.

hack it all off, and get yourself a new muffler! I like the 40 series Flowmaster, the single chamber Flowmaster, or the Single chamber Magnaflow!

have fun
