i have a e40d tranny in my truck and i will be putting in a new one soon. my question is i want to switch in a np203 t case inplace of the crappy puch button one. the tcase is coming out of a 79 Bronco will it bolt up with no problem???
Have the tranny beefed up to the Diesel specs and clutch packs. I believe that the Diesels use more clutches in the e4od than a gas engine does. According to Advanced Adapters all fords use the same input gears on the transfer case, the adapter that mates the tranny to the transfer might not mate up to the tranny and transfer. Try to find a truck or bronco with the e4od and with a manual transfer case if the transfer does not match, or you could go to advanced adapters and order the right adapter for the tranny transfer combo.
