Default Putting a CB in an 88

So I have no idea where to try to mount the radio. My truck is a trail rig on 37s and we have a rock crawl club but my truck is a 4 spd manual so cant really go under the dash.. any help is appreciated

If you do not use your ashtray, mount bracket to bottom somewhere, the cb has to pretty much point up. I had my cobra 148 in my 92 w\5spd. Just barely made it with the shifter. You might have to get or make a bracket with longer arms.

Yeah I thought about that one too. I think the Uniden I have is to big for that tho. Someone already screwed one into the roof befor but i dont want that damn thing falling on my head while rock crawling. I have to have it tho cause theres obviously no cell coverage where we go to

Give it a try, put the shifter all the way forward and see if the cb will fit, I think the uniden is basically the same size as the cobra.

I cant be without a cb in my truck so I find places to stuff it and be functional.

i mounted mine just to the left of the ash tray right above where my right knee sits. It works great there, its not in my way, i can see the screen great, and my knee dosent even hit it.
