I can't help with the push-button, although it would be easy enough to chase the wires down... You have an INLINE 6 (aka. I6 or L6), not a v6. Just thought I'd point that out.

My truck has one. The push button is just one from autozone. But get a good high rated one. All you have to do is run the starter wires to it if the truck is like mine was. My truck still uses the key cylinder, I turn that to the on position to turn all the electronics on, but the push button jumps the starter since the starter part of my ignition was bad. The previous owner did it, but he did a good job on it.

What you need is a relay that applies power to the vehicle ignition circuit when you hit a latching switch and another relay that applies power to the starting circuit when you hold a momentary switch. You also have the steering wheel lock to worry about, You can either turn the key to run and leave it there with the ignition switch unplugged or what I would do is turn the key and hit the little release button to remove the ignition cylinder. That keeps it locked in run, which keeps the steering lock deactivated. Then find a plug or sticker you like that will cover the hole when the ignition cylinder was.
