Pulling gears
Happy fourth!
The axle code on my truck is 19n. I have no idea what that means.
I am wanting to be able to pull a boat with this truck. I just want to make sure I have the right gear ratio to give me the best of both worlds. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Well, 19 is 3:55 gears which are pretty good for what you want if your tires aren't way oversize.
H9 would be rear limited slip 3:55. 19 is open rear 3:55.
The "n" I have heard mentioned before but I haven't heard anybody who knew what it meant chime in.
Usually when a letter follows the code it means L/S front but I've never heard of L/S up front with an open rear. So the "n" part is still a mystery, but the 3:55's are pretty good all around gears.
