I drained the oil and pulled all the spark plugs but didn't get around to cranking the engine due to loss of day light. Am going to try tomorrow. What way does it crank. Clockwise or cc

Do not put alot of force on it if you are going to try to save the motor. If all the plugs are out it should be fairly easy to turn over.

When you try to start it off the key does the start make any other noise beside a click...

Also be sure the battery is fully charged.

If you find out the motor is not indeed locked up. You might try taking the belt off. It could be a locked up alt or powersteering pump or anything really.

You can test the starter by unbolting it from the truck (leave the wiring hooked up)

Take a pair of jumper cables and ground the starter to the frame of the truck...

And then try starting it. The starter should operate if you have a good ground to the starter and the rest of the starting system is working properly.

I have done that as well. It all works. I'm currently just waiting on trying to just crank it over in the morning. I drained all the oil took out the spark plugs and then just sprayed wd40 in the cylinders. So its sitting in there for tonight and frees up any rust cuz all the spark plug heads were pretty rusty. So like I asked, which way does it crank over, clockwise or cc. Cuz I believe that is the last test I can do and if it doesn't work I've got a locked engine and am going to have to sell the truck cuz I can't afford a rebuild

Alright thank you. I will post my results in a few hours. One more thing. Do I have to push down on the serpentine belt anywhere or can I literally just snap on a socket and try and crank it without any other steps involved
