Post problems! help!

hey i have a problem trying to reinstall my transmission. i have a 93 f-150 5.0 and E40D. i cant get everything thing to line up. i got 4 torque converter studs that have to line up with the holes on the flexplate. and 2 alignment pins on the block that need to line up with the holes on the bell housing. this is getting really frustrating. so any help would be much appreciated! thanks in advance!

Buy some 3" long or so bolts, cut the heads off, put the trans up kinda close, put the bolts thru the trans, screw into block, now you have drift pins to help line up the trans. I think the bolts are 7\16 - 13 or so, they are course thread not fine.

i got everything together today. and now when i put it into any gear,(D,R,1,2, because its a automatic) and let off the brake, it doesnt move. if i give it gas, to about 2000 or 2500, after about a second, something will kick in and it'll move for about a second. then it wont move again. im thinking torque converter is bad. any thoughts be much appreciated!
