Default Problem after problem...

Don't you hate buying a car from someone that says it's tip top only to drive it around for a month and keep finding sh*t wrong with it.

The next issue Iv'e run into is the 4wd. Took it out in the woods and it was clunky as all hell, throwing me around a bit. Found out the front differential was shot, so took it out and replaced it.

You would think all is well with the truck now, right? Wrong. The dude before me switched out the gears but only on one end! So now, I have mismatched gears and am PRAYING the place I bought the parts from lets me exchange for the correct size so I can match them up and not destroy my truck while it's in 4wd.

The flames should have told you all you needed to know about the PO and his decision making.

I am having the same problem with my new to me truck. But on a much smaller scale thankfully. I keep finding small things I need to replace.

That's annoying, once you get it sorted out these trucks are pretty reliable.

^^ yeah. Just keep at it OP. Eventually you'll outfit the whole damn truck, and granted it won't be for as little money as you expected, but it'll be the truck you were hoping for.

So the front gears are 3.55 and the rear are 4.10. They won't let me return the parts for a swap, so that was a fu%$& waste of money. Now I know though, but don't have the funds to buy the 4.10 gears for the front until spring. What a headache.

Here's my new updated laundry list of items to repair...
* Swap 3.55 front gears with 4.10 or 4.10 rear gears with 3.55. Haven't decided what I want to do yet.
* Eventually, I'll need to replace the oil pan gasket. Until then, i just keep oil handy.
* Passenger side window motor needs replaced
* Front passenger side wheel bearings need replaced
