Default pressure washer on engine

lots of old grease and oil on my project trucks engine.
i tried gunk engine degreaser and even rinsing with hot water it didn't help.
i went and got a fitting for my pressure washer that will bring it down to 500 psi.
am going to give that a shot tomorrow even though i keep reading never pressure wash an engine.
i should prob specify im just after the engine i plan to cover up electronics and not aim at them.

any thoughts before i go and do this?
thanks.

Make sure everything is sealed up like the oil filler, dipsticks etc and then you should be fine, the engine is sealed to keep oil in, it should keep water out fine. Just be smart about it, but it sounds like you've already thought that out.

Oven cleaner will do the job. Soak it down real good with oven cleaner spray and the grease literally starts falling off. Then just hose down with a garden hose if you don't want to use high pressure. That's what I've done in the past.
