My passenger side window will not roll back up. The driver's side window works fine. The passenger window does not respond to either switch, the master or the passenger door. I checked the fuse and it is fine. I think I can hear a clicking sound coming from the passenger door when I engage the switch. I can check the switches tomorrow afternoon to see if they are dirty, but I don't have an electrical tester and wouldn't know how to properly use one, if I did. Does this sound like the window motor has died?

I have had the windows not want to respond before, but it was due to dirty switch contacts. Once cleaned, they worked fine. This time seems to be a different problem.

If you can hear the motor run but the window doesn't move, it's the gear inside the motor.

 

I'm willing to bet it's the gear, my truck is doing the same I just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. In the meantime just pull it up and push it down but don't let it go all the way down into the door.

 

Yup. The repair kits aren't too high at the local parts stores.
